O Freedom,
Seemingly so distant you call,
You project truth and desire all,
To those who are captives, you whisper,
In each one’s ear when you hear them whimper,
A spark that ignites a fire,
Hope that spurs desire,
A breath of life ignites the flame,
Unstoppable, unquenchable does freedom claim,
Those who were captives,
Released,
Be Free!
Be free to sing and shout your praise,
Of He whom died but now is raised.
The call of freedom beckons,
May those who hear simply reckon.
Freedom is near.
